Jessica Haddad, LCSW

Jess is the Clinical Director of The Counseling Center of New Jersey. Her style is attentive, caring, and driven to support and empower her clients as they create a life that they love. She values holding a nonjudgmental space where her clients can feel heard, while building a genuinely authentic therapeutic relationship. Jess believes that the client-therapist relationship is one of the most pivotal factors in therapy, and has a direct effect on the efficiency of the therapeutic work and lasting outcomes.

Jess sincerely enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidality, self harm, interpersonal trauma, mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, emotional and behavioral dysregulation, and life transitions. She additionally provides DBT-C parent training/ coaching to parents of children experiencing any of the above symptomatology. Jess is a LBGTQIA+ affirming therapist, implements cultural sensitivity into her sessions, and is passionate about working with the Jewish community.

Jess is dedicated to providing the gold-standard of care by implementing evidence-based techniques that are proven to create lasting change, and delivering them with utmost fidelity to the model. Woven into evidence-based care, she highlights her clients’ strengths and structures treatment by focusing on their needs and priorities.

Jess earned her Master of Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania. Prior, she graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Studio Arts. Jess completed DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) training through Behavioral Tech Institute, DBT-C (Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Children) training through Child DBT by Francheska Perepletchikova, Ph.D, DBT-PE (Dialectical Behavior Therapy- Prolonged Exposure) by Melanie Harned, PhD and Lorie Ritschel, PhD, and DBT Adherence training by Melanie Harned, PhD and Sara Schmidt, PhD. Jess has experience working in various settings at multiple levels of care, including: inpatient hospitals, outpatient care, partial hospitalization programs, substance use warmlines, and elementary schools.
