After spending over 16 years immersed in the worlds of health, fitness, and commercial photography, I developed an intimate understanding of how image and identity influence mental well-being. In those industries, I saw how the relentless pursuit of “perfection” often hid deeper emotional struggles giving me unique insight into the psychological weight of being continually viewed, judged, and marketed through one’s appearance.
This dual perspective ultimately inspired a meaningful shift in my professional path. While my work in fitness and photography was rewarding, I became increasingly drawn to the psychological dimensions of body image, self-worth, and trauma and how these factors shape a person’s daily experience. This curiosity led me to pursue graduate studies in mental health counseling, allowing me to transform lived experience into clinical expertise.
Today, I integrate my background in fitness and media with evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support clients navigating body dysmorphia, trauma, anxiety, and challenges related to aging and identity. I believe deeply that the mind and body cannot be treated separately; our emotional lives are inseparable from how we inhabit and care for our physical selves. Nutrition, lifestyle, and embodiment all play meaningful roles in well-being, and my therapeutic approach centers on treating the whole self.
My lived experience enables me to connect authentically with clients facing body image, identity concerns, and relational issues while my clinical training allows me to provide effective, compassionate care through modalities such as EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, and somatic therapies. My goal is to help clients cultivate safety, agency, and alignment—both in their bodies and in their lives.
