Stella Marsh, LMSW

Stella is a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and evidence-driven therapist who believes that meaningful change is a collaborative process of goal-setting and harnessing an individual’s inherent resources and resilience. Her style is warm, curious, and collaborative, and she works intentionally to create a space where clients feel accepted, understood, and empowered. Humor and lightheartedness often find their way into sessions when helpful, making challenging work feel a bit more approachable. She provides therapy to adolescents and adults of all ages, with experience supporting clients navigating major life changes and transitions, emotional dysregulation, disordered eating, exploration of sexuality and identity, and the unique challenges faced by survivors of domestic violence. Her work draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based practices, and strengths-based approaches, always tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, priorities, and goals. Stella deeply values the therapeutic relationship and views the client and therapist as equal partners working toward a life that feels fulfilling and aligned with personal values. Her practice is grounded in nonjudgment, compassion, and a commitment to helping clients move toward growth in a space built on love and acceptance. Stella holds a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) in Advanced Clinical Practice from Columbia University. She also has a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Vermont.
